For families

Before you download

App launching in November
What is Novie?

A parenting support app for families with children from birth to five. It covers sleep, nutrition and development, with emotional development and wellbeing coming soon. The guidance is evidence-based, follows Australian guidelines and is reviewed by our specialists. Novie gets to know your child and your family over time, so what you see fits your child and the way you parent, and everyone who cares for your child can see the same plan.

Is it a sleep app?

No. Sleep is one part, alongside nutrition and development, with emotional development and wellbeing coming soon. Novie is built around the mental load of parenting, which is the planning and remembering behind everyday care.

How much does Novie cost?

Novie is free to download, with tracking, a sleep schedule that adapts through the day, daily guidance and 5 Ask Novie questions a day. Premium is $7.99 a month or $79 a year and adds unlimited Ask Novie, Novie Knows insights and Toolkits, step by step plans much like a 1:1 consult. One subscription covers your whole household, and you can cancel any time.

Who writes the guidance?

Qualified specialists, including a certified child sleep consultant and a paediatric dietitian. It follows Australian guidelines and we update it as the research changes.

Can my partner and other carers use it too?

Yes. You can invite your partner, a grandparent or your nanny to your household, and everyone sees the same routine, notes and to-do list. One Premium subscription covers the whole household.

What ages is Novie for?

Children from birth to five for now, and we plan to support older children in the future. The guidance changes as your child grows.

Does Novie push a particular sleep method?

No. Novie covers every settling approach, from responsive settling to more gradual ones, and you choose what suits your child and your family.

Does Novie replace my GP or child health nurse?

No. Novie gives general guidance and tells you when something is worth checking with a health professional. It doesn't diagnose.

What happens to my family's information?

We only use it to support your family. We don't sell it or share it with advertisers, and you can delete your account at any time. Read our Privacy Policy

What people and culture teams ask us

Book a conversation
What will we see about our people?

Nothing about any individual or their family. What a parent shares with Novie stays with them, so you'll never see anyone's messages, logs or family details. Read our Privacy Policy

How do employees get access?

They download Novie from the App Store and enter your access code or verify their work email. It takes about two minutes, and nothing needs to integrate with your systems.

Are partners and non-birthing parents included?

Yes. Partners, adoptive and foster parents and same-sex parents are all covered, and Premium extends to the whole household. Men currently take only 17% of primary carer's leave, so support that reaches both parents matters. (WGEA, 2023 to 2024)

Does it replace our EAP?

No, it sits alongside it. Novie is everyday support for sleep, nutrition, development and the household load. When someone needs more, it points them to their GP, child and family health nurse or services like PANDA.

Who writes the guidance, and how is it governed?

Qualified specialists in each area, known for the thoughtful way they support families. Guidance follows Australian guidelines and is kept current with new research. Novie gives general guidance and doesn't diagnose. Meet our curators

What if a parent is in crisis?

Novie isn't a crisis service. It directs people to 000, Lifeline on 13 11 14 and PANDA on 1300 726 306.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the option you choose and the size of your team. We'll give you a quote after a short call. Book a conversation

How do we measure impact?

We agree how to measure it with you when you sign up, starting with uptake.

What ages does it cover?

Children from birth to five. Older ages are on the roadmap.

Can we start with a pilot?

Yes. Many teams start with the new parent gift or a three to six month pilot with agreed measures.

Does it support our WGEA and family-inclusive goals?

It gives you a practical, measurable way to support carers of all genders, which feeds into WGEA reporting and family-inclusive workplace commitments.
