What your people get

Everyday support that fits around work

Answers that fit their family

Personalised insights based on their own child's patterns, in line with Australian guidelines, instead of hours searching online.

A plan both parents can see

Partners and carers see the same information about the kids and the household, from routines to the to-do list, so the load is easier to share.

Support for the parent too

Help that lightens the load at home, so parents feel supported and come back to work steadier, more confident and better able to enjoy both.

Help through the return to work

Guidance for the months before, during and after leave.

Three ways to offer Novie

Start small and build from there

Most teams start with the gift.

The new parent gift

The benefit

The return-to-work programme

What they get

A one-off welcome for each employee who has a baby: a Novie gift bundle and a year of Premium for their household.

Ongoing Novie Premium for every parent in your team, whatever their child’s age, shared with their partner and caregivers.

Everything in the benefit, plus support for your company: planning around leave and guides for managers.

Time to start

Sign up once as an authorised gift partner, then we send gifts out within a few business days.

1 week to roll out, with a launch kit and an access code.

4-6 weeks, curated together.

Return to work

Support before, during and after leave

Around a third of mothers who experienced discrimination at work around pregnancy or leave went on to look for another job or resign. [4] And 41% of working parents say their parental leave was too short. [1]

Stage 1

Before leave

Setting up the household, the first weeks and a plan for sleep and feeding.

Stage 2

On leave

Everyday support at home, for both parents, whenever they need it.

Stage 3

Returning

Daycare, new routines, expressing at work and the first weeks back.

Stage 4

The first six months

When the juggling really starts, and many parents decide whether the job still works for them.

Privacy

You'll never see an individual family.

Parents need to trust that what they tell Novie stays with them, so we've designed the employer side around that.

1

What a parent shares with Novie stays with them. You won't see anyone's messages, logs or family details.

2

No manager views, no flags and nothing that could affect someone's employment.

3

We never sell data or share it with advertisers.

4

Employees can leave or delete their account at any time, and keep their family's history if they change jobs.

5

Handled under the Australian Privacy Act, and stored in Australia.

The evidence

What the research says

Amstad et al., 2011

Work and family pull on each other

A meta-analysis of 427 effect sizes found conflict between work and family is consistently linked to poorer work, family and wellbeing outcomes, in both directions. [5]

Sanders, Stallman and McHale, 2011

Parenting support shows up at work

In a randomised trial of a workplace parenting program, working parents reported lower distress and higher work commitment, work satisfaction and confidence. [6]

Richter et al., 2019

The sleep debt is real

Mothers lost about an hour of sleep a night in the first three months after birth, and sleep satisfaction took up to six years to fully recover. Fathers were affected too, to a lesser degree. [7]

Questions from HR

What people and culture teams ask us

What will we see about our people?

Nothing about any individual or their family. What a parent shares with Novie stays with them, so you'll never see anyone's messages, logs or family details. Read our Privacy Policy

How do employees get access?

They download Novie from the App Store and enter your access code or verify their work email. It takes about two minutes, and nothing needs to integrate with your systems.

Are partners and non-birthing parents included?

Yes. Partners, adoptive and foster parents and same-sex parents are all covered, and Premium extends to the whole household. Men currently take only 17% of primary carer's leave, so support that reaches both parents matters. [8]

How much does it cost?

It depends on the option you choose and the size of your team. We'll give you a quote after a short call. Book a conversation
